Rakesia S. Williams serves as the Executive Vice President and Manager of Tax2Go, LLC, where she is also a Registered Tax Return Preparer with the Internal Revenue Service. With a career that began in 2007, Rakesia has honed her skills in preparing both federal and state tax returns, providing personalized service to help small businesses and individuals make informed financial decisions. Her commitment to accessibility ensures that clients receive the assistance they need, precisely when they need it. Rakesia is also the Director and Treasurer for the Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program in DeSoto, Texas. They provide scholarships to deserving underprivileged high school students wanting to go to college and current college students to assist them in achieving potential life goals that might otherwise be unobtainable without financial assistance.
Since 2017, we have awarded over 132 scholarships to deserving students. Financial need remains a huge barrier to college, so we are increasing our efforts to help. We continue to operate under God’s Plan with the premise of Isaiah 11:6 (“A child shall lead them”).
Rakesia is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration in Project Management at Amberton University in Garland, Texas. Her dedication to professional development is evident in her continuous education efforts, which include frequent courses to stay abreast of the latest tax trends and strategies. Her proactive approach to learning allows her to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of tax law with ease. Additionally, Rakesia has been a certified Notary Public since 2002, further broadening her expertise.
Rakesia is married to Charles L. Williams, the owner of Tax2Go, LLC. Together, they have five beautiful children: SaintCharles, Veronica, Brianna, Dakota, and De'Khiry, and they reside in Duncanville, Texas. Rakesia's family values are closely aligned with her professional ethos, emphasizing integrity, excellence, and responsiveness in all aspects of her work.
Driven by a shared vision with her husband, Rakesia aims to offer affordable and high-quality tax and bookkeeping services. They identified a gap in the market where CPA fees were prohibitively expensive for many individuals and small businesses. Their goal is to provide these essential services at a cost that is accessible, ensuring that financial guidance is within reach for all.
